9:00 – 9:30 AM — Arrival, Check-In & Team Huddle (Meet your tribe, get face paint or bandanas!)
9:30 – 11:00 AM — Morning Challenge Block (e.g., Capture the Flag, Obstacle Course, Tug of War)
11:00 – 11:30 AM — Snack Break & Hydration
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM — Skill Showdowns (Javelin Throwing, Archery, Giant Boxing Ring)
1:00 – 1:30 PM — Lunch Break (bring your own packed lunch)
1:30 – 2:30 PM — Wild Water Arena (Waterslide Kickball, Pool Time)
2:30 – 3:00 PM — Victory Circle & Wrap-Up (Point tally, cheers, craft table fun, parent pickup)
The Wilderness Games
Get ready for non-stop thrills! Campers rotate through high-energy stations each day, mixing land-based battles, water fun, and skill showdowns. Safety first with trained staff supervising every game.
Capture the Flag — Classic territory battles in the woods — sneak, strategize, and steal the flag!
Obstacle Course — Crawl, climb, jump, and conquer natural and fun barriers!
Javelin Throwing & Archery — Test precision and power with safe, guided primitive projectile games! (Younger kids use easier targets; older ones add scoring and competition.)
Waterslide Kickball — Slide, kick, and splash your way to victory on our massive slip 'n slide field!
Giant Boxing Ring — Friendly, padded bouts for laughs and energy release!
Tug of War — Ultimate team strength showdowns!
Pool Time — Afternoon cool-down swims and free play.
Craft Table — Quick team banners, war paint, or medal decorating to show your tribe pride!

The Venue
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our summer camp at Wild Roots, located just outside of Lockhart, TX. We are beyond grateful and excited to be able to offer this to our families. This is a beautiful 45 acre space with indoor/outdoor structures, hiking trails, sand volleyball, cowboy pools and more, that will be woven into the structure of the day!

Why is it called Wilderness Games?
The purpose of this summer camp is to give kids a different experience of what summer camp is all about and a preview of Apogee Lockhart. We will not be going deep into academics, we believe summer is about having fun, learning useful skills, transformation, facing some challenges and bringing home gifts and resources for the whole family! Part of the school curriculum will include survival skills and primitive games. Our goal is to focus on many of the skills in a short period of time over the summer and to seed interest in larger projects over the school year.
We are RESEEDING FREEDOM THROUGH EDUCATION FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
How does this serve the mission of Apogee Lockhart?
We are focused on creating a new system and new experiences for kids and families. We aim to do this through a summer camp as well. This is not summer "school," or a run around and play all day experience. It is focused to learn useful and forgotten skills, not just in education but in life as a whole. Apogee is all about bringing family and community to the education and mentoring of our children.
Is food included?
Kids must bring their own healthy lunch , a snack , and a water bottle. We will have water and will have some extra fruit and snacks on hand.
What does my child need to bring to camp?
-lunch, snack, and water bottle.
-bathing suit and towel.
-close toed shoes and water shoes if desired.
-sunscreen or hat ( we recommend mineral based, chemical free sunscreen)

Where do I park, and how do I get there?
Signs for parking will be visible on entrance and more detailed instructions will be emailed once you are registered.
How much will the camp cost?
This is based on the number of children you are registering, just as the full membership at Apogee Lockhart. However, it is not the same price per child. The base rate is $400 for each week, and it is $675 for the second child, and $1000 for the Third(+) child, with a max of $1,000 for a family of 3 or more.
What if I can’t afford it?
